Italo Benedini, born in Capriano Azzano (BS) in 1947, graduated in Electronic Engineering at the Politecnico in Milan in 1972. Work experience at Italtel, the biggest Italian Telecommunication company, where he held the position of Quality Director until 2004. He has almost 25 years of experience on the EFQM Model, for which he is accredited teacher and Assessor. Moreover, he is expert, teacher and lead assessor for the Common Assessment Framework (CAF), an European management process for Public Administration, and for Safety Prize and Innovation Prize organized by Italian Quality Prize Association (APQI) on behalf of Confindustria, Italian industrial confederation. He directly participated as Italian expert to the last reviews of the CAF Model in specific European working groups. He is member of the Get It Fair Technical Team in charge of developing the GIF Framework.
